No. The freezing process requires a specialized laboratory, such as professional sperm banks. Liquid nitrogen is needed to reach –196°C, along with specific cryoprotectants to prevent cellular damage and strict sperm-freezing protocols. Home freezers only reach around –20°C, a temperature that completely destroys the semen sample and causes total loss of sperm motility. Attempting fertility preservation at home can irreversibly damage your semen sample.

No. Sperm freezing does not affect your ability to conceive naturally. The freezing process does not involve surgery, medication, or any intervention in your reproductive system. A semen sample is simply collected through masturbation, without affecting your ongoing sperm production. It serves as a reproductive backup or insurance for the future, while your natural fertility remains intact. Many men preserve their fertility and later conceive naturally without ever needing to use their stored samples.

For international patients, the sperm freezing process requires 2–4 days in Mexico. During your first visit, we perform an evaluation and a semen analysis to assess sperm quality.
